there isn't a great sizing, however , you both need small enough exactly where they cannot get their beaks in, or sufficiently big so they can get them out. I am utilizing one" x 1" these days and it works Alright. The lesser measurements of wire may result in some birds breaking the information in their beaks off, when a dimensions of say, one" x
